Bowdoin To Host Talk by Manchester City's Tony Faulkner on November 2
BRUNSWICK, Maine - On Friday, November 2nd, Bowdoin College is
proud to announce that Provelop, a leader in the field of
performance psychology, will be hosting a seminar for the public at
6pm in Kresge Hall.
Tony Faulkner, Provelop founder, and the Head Performance and
Development Coach for Manchester City -the 2012 English Premier
League Champions- will be speaking about the importance of mental
conditioning, and the profound effect it can have on young men and
women.
Christina Dennis, founder of the Center of Coaching Excellence,
will also join him.
Tony has spent over a decade working at the highest levels of
soccer, and has witnessed firsthand the failures of hundreds of
physically-gifted athletes. In order to address this issue,
and to maximize player potential, Tony has worked tirelessly to
pinpoint which mental behaviors most often produce successful
athletes, and people in general.
Christina has spent most of her career in the world of
business. As an expert in leadership training,
Christina has recently started to incorporate her life-skills
programs into Tony’s system.
In this lecture, Tony and Christina will break down his findings,
and will discuss the importance of developing a growth mindset in
young people. These are lessons that will benefit young
people on the field, as well as in the classroom.
