Women's Tennis Concludes Fall Season With NEWITT
AMHERST, Mass. - The Bowdoin College women's tennis team concluded their fall season with a strong showing at the New England Women's Intercollegiate Tennis Tournament last weekend at Amherst College. Featuring nearly every Division III team in New England, Bowdoin entered four two-player teams.

Women's Tennis Plays at Gail Smith Doubles Tournament
MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - The Bowdoin College women's tennis team performed well at the Gail Smith Doubles Invitational last weekend at Middlebury College. The Polar Bears were led by a strong showing from seniors Brett Davis and Liz Pedowitz, who finished 5-1 overall.

Women's Tennis Competes Well at Eastern Championships
WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Bowdoin College women's tennis team played in one of the most competitive tournaments in the nation last weekend, the Eastern Invitational Tournament hosted by the U.S. Military Academy. The Polar Bears served up several strong performances in the tournament, which featured several top Division I players.

Women's Soccer Eases to Six-Goal Victory Over Southern Maine
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's soccer team scored all of their goals in the opening half of a 6-0 victory over the University of Southern Maine on Wednesday afternoon at Pickard Field. The Polar Bears improve to 2-2 this season and 24-0-1 all-time against the Huskies. Celeste Swain and Dana Riker scored two goals apiece for Bowdoin.

Women's Tennis Opens Season at ITA New England's
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Bowdoin College women's tennis team opened their 2009 season with several strong performances at the New England ITA Regionals this weekend at MIT. Emily Lombardi led the Polar Bear contingent, cruising into the quarterfinals before falling.

Saturday's Women's Tennis Match at Brandeis Canceled
WALTHAM, Mass. - With expected inclement weather, and Brandeis's indoor facility in use because of the volleyball team's Invitational, the Brandeis-Bowdoin women's tennis match scheduled for Sept. 12 at 2:30 p.m. has been canceled. A make-up date has not been scheduled.
