Women's Soccer Trio Collect All-NESCAC Recognition BRUNSWICK, Maine - Three Bowdoin College women's soccer players have been recognized in postseason honors announced by the New England Small College Athletic Conference on Thursday. Senior co-captain Dana Riker (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) and sophomore Ellery Gould (East Sandwich, Mass.) have been named first-team performers while junior Tiernan Cutler (Sacramento, Calif.) was tabbed as a second-team selection. November 1, 2009 Women's Soccer Season Ends in Overtime Defeat MIDDLEBURY, Vt. Middlebury's Amy Rowell scored the game-winning goal in the first overtime to give the Panther women's soccer team a 1-0 victory over Bowdoin on Sunday afternoon. Middlebury improves to 11-2-2 on the season and advances to the NESCAC Semifinals next weekend, while Bowdoin ends its year at 8-7. Kat Flaherty made a dozen saves in the loss. October 30, 2009 Riker's Goal Leads Polar Bears to Senior Day Win BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin co-captain Dana Riker celebrated Senior Day with the game's only goal, lifting the Polar Bears to a key 1-0 conference win over Tufts on Friday afternoon. The Polar Bears improve to 8-6-0 (4-5-0 NESCAC) and earn the sixth seed in conference play and will travel to play at Middlebury in the opening round of the conference tournament on Sunday at noon. October 17, 2009 Early Goals Doom Bowdoin Against Williams BRUNSWICK, Maine - The third-ranked Williams College women's soccer team scored three times in the first 18 minutes to take an eventual 4-0 win over Bowdoin on Saturday. The Ephs improve to 11-0-0 (7-0-0 NESCAC) this season while the Polar Bears fall to 6-5-0 (3-4-0 NESCAC). Gould, who has 10 goals this season, has scored six goals in the last four games. The win is the first-ever for the Colby women's soccer team against Bowdoin in a series that dates back to 1979. College NEW LONDON, Conn. - Ellery Gould had a hat-trick with three scores to lead visiting Bowdoin College (4-3, 2-2) to a 4-0 NESCAC victory against Connecticut College (3-5, 0-4) in a game that was played on the Coast Guard Turf Field Saturday. Toni DaCampo chipped in with a goal in the second straight win for the visitors. The Polar Bears (3-3-0) received a two goals apiece from Nicole Fossi and Ellery Gould in the victory as the Beavers (3-6) fall for the sixth time in their last seven games. The Polar Bears improve to 1-1 (1-1 NESCAC) on the year while the Bobcats fall to 1-1 (1-1 NESCAC). September 12, 2009 Amherst Trips Women's Soccer in Opening Contest AMHERST, Mass. - The fifth-ranked Amherst College women's soccer team posted their seventh-straight shutout victory dating back to 2008, blanking Bowdoin by a 3-0 score on Saturday in the season-opener for both teams.
