About the Program

The Bowdoin College golf team was instituted in the early 1900's and is one of the school's longest- running varsity teams. The squad has enjoyed a rich tradition of success, competing well at the State and Regional level.

The Polar Bears play between 7-8 events each fall season, mostly in the State of Maine- one of the most underrated golf locations in the country. Winners of numerous CBB and Maine State Championships, the team also competes at the NESCAC Tournament against their traditional conference rivals. The College sponsors both a men's and women's team, and carries from 10-15 players.
