BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin first-year Harry Ridge (Yarmouth, Maine) has been named the NESCAC Pitcher of the Week.
The rookie southpaw out of Cheverus burst onto the scene with a pair of wins in his first two appearances for Bowdoin last week. Ridge tossed a complete game victory in his first collegiate game against Roger Williams, tossing seven innings and allowing one run while striking out five. He followed up with six strong innings against MCLA, allowing just two hits and striking out seven in six frames to garner his second win of the week.
He boasts a 12-0 strikeout-to-walk ratio and owns a 0.69 ERA so far this year.
Bowdoin currently stands at 6-3 on its break trip to Florida. The Polar Bears will return to action on Tuesday afternoon in Auburndale against Endicott College.
