History & General Information
Bowdoin's athletic programs offer a wonderful complement to
students' academic experience. The expansive program of varsity,
club and intramural sports provides opportunities for everyone. 31
varsity teams, six club teams, three levels of intramural
competition in ten sports and over two dozen fitness and lifetime
sport classes are all a part of the program.
Men: Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Football, Ice Hockey, Lacrosse, Nordic Skiing, Soccer, Squash, Swimming and Diving, Tennis, Indoor and Outdoor Track, Golf.
Women: Basketball, Cross Country, Field Hockey, Softball, Ice Hockey, Lacrosse, Nordic Skiing, Rugby, Soccer, Squash, Swimming and Diving, Tennis, Indoor and Outdoor Track, Golf, Volleyball.

Bowdoin College Athletic Hall of Honor
Established in 2002, the Bowdoin College Athletic Hall of Honor was founded to perpetuate the memory of those persons who have brought distinction, honor and excellence to Bowdoin through their accomplishments in athletics.
Bowdoin College Athletic Department Awards
Every May, the Bowdoin College Athletic Department recognizes outstanding Polar Bear athletes with awards distributed at the All-Sports Banquet. Thirteen awards are given out, acknowledging accomplishments in athletics, sportsmanship, leadership and contributions to Bowdoin Athletics.
