Morrell Gymnasium

Completed in 1965 and named in honor of legendary Athletic Director Mal Morrell, Morrell Gymnasium sits in the heart of the Bowdoin campus. In addition to being the home for Polar Bear Basketball and Volleyball, Morrell recently received a facelift with the addition of the new Peter Buck Fitness Center adjacent to the west side of the building. The new addition includes an redsigned entranceway and lobby and improved locker room space for home and visiting teams.

The Gym seats approximately 2500 spectators. In addition to being used for all-campus events, the gymnasium has hosted several NESCAC and NCAA Tournament basketball games.
