Dayton Arena
Dayton Arena
Built in 1956 and renovated in 1992, Dayton is the home of
Bowdoin’s very successful Men’s and Women’s Ice
Hockey teams. With a capacity of over 2500 spectators,
Dayton’s great ice has been the sight of many intense,
exciting hockey games. In addition to the varsity programs, the
arena is also open for recreational skating and hosts
Bowdoin’s extensive intramural Ice Hockey program.
Dayton Arena is scheduled to be closed in January of 2009, making
way for the state-of-the-art Sidney J. Watson Arena.
