Tim Ryan, a 1998 graduate of Bowdoin, returned to his alma mater in 2005 to become an assistant football coach and just two years later assumed the duties of Associate Athletic Director for Operations.

A native of Wells, Maine and a graduate of Phillips Exeter, Ryan was a tri-captain linebacker on the 1997 Polar Bear squad that won the CBB Championship. A double-major in Government and Economics, he was a Maine Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete and member of the Residential Life staff at Bowdoin.

In 2011, Ryan earned his Masters Degree in Higher Education from Drexel University. He and his wife Jennie reside in Brunswick.
