Bowdoin Hosts Over 200 Participants For 2012 Girls & Women in Sports Weekend

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College Athletic Department hosted a record-setting number of participants at its annual "Girls and Women in Sports Weekend" on February 11-12. 225 girls, ages 5-14, partcipated in the weekend events, which included a Saturday "Luncheon with the Polar Bears" for middle schoolers and Sunday's increasingly popular "Girls and Women in Sports Day" at Farley Field House. It was the first time in the six-year history of the event that the event surpassed 200 participants.
