BRUNSWICK, Maine - Both the Bowdoin men's and women's basketball teams are ranked in the latest D3hoops.com national polls released on Tuesday evening.
In the debut poll for both, the women went from unranked to 17th in the nation while the men vaulted to 22nd. It is the first time since February of 2014 that both squads are ranked and the Polar Bears are one of ten schools in the nation, joining Amherst as the only other NESCAC, to have both their men's and women's teams ranked.
The women improved to 4-0 with a pair of wins last week, defeating UNE and MIT. The Polar Bears will play at Southern Maine on Tuesday night (5:30 p.m.) before hosting xth-ranked UMass Dartmouth on Thursday night (7:00 p.m.).
The men's squad improved to 4-0 with a victory over seventh-ranked Babson on Sunday afternoon. The Polar Bears will also travel to Southern Maine on Tuesday night (7:30 p.m.) before heading to play at Anna Maria on Thursday evening (7:00 p.m.).
